I guess that'll be my new post.
-me, talking to Ang
I had a nice post half started when Ang called asking about the new blog look, so I thought I'd talk about my plan for these new posts.
It starts in the morning: From 5:00 A.M. to 8 P.M., I am on information gathering and documenting of my day (although I sucked today). Photograph and take notes of interesting things I saw and did.
Brainstorm and fill outline: Somewhere between 8:00 or 9:00 P.M. I reflect on the day and build an outline.
Write post: If all goes well, I hope to build the post in 30-45 min, so somewhere between 8:30 to 9:45 P.M.
Auto-schedule: I know I haven't mentioned lately how much I love Ghost, but they finally kicked in auto-scheduling, so I set it up for 17:00 UTC, so that it publishes at 11:00 our time (I'm curious to see what happens when daylight savings kicks in).
What's that? You don't want to see my blog outline? Too bad!
Why are we doing this?
Counios and Gane books are fun, entertaining, fast moving, and emotional reads. They are fun with fun back-and-forth dialogue, conflict, and action.
Our blog was none of these things.
I built a new structure from daily vlogs and hope to lean more into story, visuals, and talking about what we do in our actual lives. Ang is always busy, so I hope to get her to share more. We've avoided talking only about writing, but story is always on my mind. You may not like all we put in here, but we hope it gives you a more rounded picture of us.
Does this help, Ang? It took me about 30 minutes.
