Change is good.
To be completely honest I get super nervous quoting anyone on the internet. I don’t want to misquote, mislead or sound like a dumb-ass but I’m sure Heraclitus said it.
Journals are my thing—right? I mean, RIGHT!!
Dave sends me a message on a new system, Slack, (this is another blog post I am sure) telling me he just listened to Omar Zenhom’s $100 MBA podcast and was taking the challenge of writing a post a day for three weeks. Then he sends me this super helpful diagram of what it may potentially look like for an outline. Then he shares some brief reflections on where our blog should go. Then I open a bottle of wine. That’s a total lie. I am out of wine because I haven’t been paid in three months. And that’s no lie. Needless to say I will be getting wine this weekend and I will open it!
Instead of opening the wine I wish I had, I opened Slack and sent a message to my partner.
Our very short dialogue turned into a video chat that went on for over half an hour with Dave at the Lazy Owl having a beer (just not fair) and me on my couch listening to his new ideas. I loved them all and things were very clear when we were done talking. He's famous for his epic diagrams. You can find some here: Our super secret blogging plan
I mean journaling is my thing, so this stream of consciousness shift of what I'm about to do on the blog is right up my alley. On that note I will take this opportunity to apologize for any spelling and grammar issues that poke you in the eyes as you read.
All this happened right around the time a very dear fan pointed out that I hadn’t written a post since August 17:
Interview With a Reader: Part 2
Oh god! Someone’s keeping track!
It’s go time.
