In our writing relationship, Ang is the “Yes” person and I am the “No.” If an opportunity shows up, Ang leans in and takes it on and I’m more cautious (surprise, surprise).
The advantage of saying “Yes” is that you seize and discover new opportunities. It makes life fun and exciting. On the other hand, saying “No” protects you from being overworked and stressed or doing things that don’t always align with your long term goals.
The trouble is knowing which on to choose when the opportunity arrives.
